PSA:Intel Cpu security Flaw READ NOW

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/new-hardware-vulnerability-found-in-intel-processors.html

Ok the tech industry is shitting bricks as this is a serious security flaw it mainly effects Intel Cpus and cannot be fixed at the hardware level via bios patches so for the past 24hours Intel and Microsoft, linux among others have been scrambling to get out a fix, in laymens terms what this flaw does is allow access to Kernel Memory via the Cpu written with malicious code this then allows malware writers free reign on your pc to access username and password details along with other sensitive data you may think is secure security researchers have not released how this can happen as to not tip off Malware/hackers.

The good news is late yesterday Microsoft issued a patch to address this as this is the only way to fix it currently if you are on Windows 10 it should rolling out to you asap

if your are on windows 7 or 8 you'll have to wait a few weeks but you can download the patch manually it can take some time for the patching process to finish up but do it ASAP!!! this is very serious

I'm still on Windows 7 I prefer being able to modify my system to my liking without having all the settings hidden away from me like some noob and all that telemetry crap they loaded 10 with no thanks its my business if I watch all that Hentai, its funny that so called dx12 games actually perform worse than their dx11 counterparts i'll keep my system performance thank you very much Microfail!

No it does not AMD is not effected by it at all use's a different system, Intel on the other hand is really in the shit it could potentially effect cpu as far back as 15 year ago I have a intel I7 930 so i'm all patched up who knows when my current cpu is no longer fast enough I could be going AMD :P though technically my cpu is 7 years old and i've overclocked it still just as good as newer cpu's

I would still update if one is available while all popular internet browsers are updated to combat this, its not a 100% full proof someone clever will find a way to exploit this and goodbye $$ login details
