Movies, Tv, Anime and Music / Netflix Transformers miniseries.
« on: February 24, 2020, 08:22:11 PM »
So it seems Netflix has gotten the rights to show a new Transformers miniseries via their service called Transformers War For Cybertron... which is the title from the comics and video game. It is said to be focused on the final days of the war and not include any of those pesky humans!

Here is the trailer:

General Gaming / Ironman for PSVR delayed.
« on: January 20, 2020, 12:49:21 PM »
So the one PSVR game that was tickling my fancy is being pushed back sadly... but then again; thats how the cookie crumbles, hopefully it turns out good and i can justify buying it!

General Gaming / Left 4 Dead 3 rumours squashed.
« on: January 20, 2020, 12:08:20 PM »
There was much hype at the possible development of Left 4 Dead 3, but it seems that these rumours are unsubstantiated as Valve finally broke the silence and stated that there is no such project currently in development.

General Gaming / Avengers game delayed.
« on: January 15, 2020, 08:08:54 PM »
So apparently the hotly debated Avengers game is being delayed until September so they can polish it up a little more. I am somewhat interested in it, and i am curious if any of the X-Men will appear in it even as DLC, if they do it will probably to just build up for the slew of X-Men related stuff that will inevitably come down the pipe.

General Gaming / EPIC games promises 50 more FREE games in 2020.
« on: January 15, 2020, 08:03:14 PM »
According to the website the EPIC store front has promised another 50 games (one game per week) to all its loyal customers... or folks that just want to mooch a free old-ish game from them... ill admit; my whole collection of games on the EPIC store are all free games. and they are not too shabby! i just need to power on my "good" computer to download them all now...

So being the X-Men fan i am, i couldnt help but watch "Movie Bob" Chipman list off his 10 theories as to how the X-Men will get tossed in to the MCU and i have to say it is quite interesting. I agree that there is a high chance they will bring Hugh Jackman back as "Old Man Logan" because that would be pretty cool.

The episode runs pretty long (15 mins) so if you are interested in seeing what he had to say you can check it out here:

General Gaming / Playstation 5 backwards compatibility.
« on: January 05, 2020, 03:52:37 PM »
So a rumour has been circulating that the Playstation 5 will be backwards compatible with PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 games. I have a feeling that it will be most likely through PSN downloads as opposed to actual game discs but if they manage to actually let me play a PS1 disc in a PS5, colour me impressed!

Movies, Tv, Anime and Music / Final Space
« on: December 30, 2019, 12:19:02 PM »
So i have been sitting on this show for a while, and season 1 has been on Netflix for some time. But i think its time for me to bring it in to the light here;

Final Space is a show that follows the journey of Gary Goodspeed and his crew/friends/people he knows as they traverse the galaxy trying to save it from the nightmareish titans that inhabit Final Space and are trying to break through to normal space.

I have made the comparison that its similar to Futurama, but have received a lot of back-lash from everyone that i have told, so, i just say "ok, its like Futurama, but better." and that seems to tick them off more... so i dont see how people hold Futurama in such high regard, it was mediocre at best from the times i saw it. which was usually: "Huh, nothing else is on."

It does take about 4 episodes to get going though as they take a while to introduce new characters and really flesh out the universe.

Overall it has solid story telling, and lots of humour, as well as emotional moments.

If you need a good space themed cartoon i strongly recommend Final Space.

General Discussion / Merry Christmas - 2019!
« on: December 25, 2019, 07:30:38 PM »
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa left you all the video games you wanted! I got the Virtual Gameboy I always wanted! Lol kidding. I got a D&D book, and gift cards to buy stuff I actually want! Huzzah! And a lot of bottles of wine.... that I don't drink...

General Gaming / Sony releasing a new useless peripheral...
« on: December 18, 2019, 03:40:21 AM »
So I just came across an article that says Sony is bringing out the "Back Button" for PS4 controllers. It slots in to the bottom of the controller and offers 2 programmable buttons and an LCD screen that shows what the buttons have been assigned to... kinda useless if you ask me. Although it may help differently abled people to play games.

Movies, Tv, Anime and Music / Dungeons & Dragons The Movie - Reboot
« on: December 16, 2019, 01:18:21 PM »
Now, i know most of you, if not all of you recall the terrible Dungeons & Dragons movies they made a long time ago, or you have been trying to erase them from your minds just like i have, but i have some potentially good news, a glimmer of hope; are making an effort to right the wrongs of the past with a new entry on the D&D movie franchise.

They claim that they are aiming for a cross between the Hobbit and Guardians of the Galaxy, in all honesty, thats usually how D&D sessions go... either way; big promises, lets see if it pays off!

Movies, Tv, Anime and Music / Go-Go Reboot Rangers!
« on: December 16, 2019, 12:51:18 PM »
SO i was sifting through some news this morning, and apparently Paramount Studios is set to film a reboot or maybe just a sequel for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

If it is a reboot, i really don't see why, the other reboot from 2017 was ok, granted a bit bland, but left the door open wide for the inclusion of the green ranger... so i dont know why they just dont just carry on with that one.

Arcade / Arcade Collection.
« on: December 02, 2019, 12:43:53 PM »
I have a feeling I may be the only one here for a while, but I feel that since I got my two Arcade 1up replica cabinets, I'mthe most qualified to post here.

So since mid November, i got my hands on a 4-Player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade machine, it contained both the Original TMNT arcade game, and Turtles In Time. This was quite impressive, and fun not only to play, but the assembly process as well. I seem to enjoy assembling Ikea style furniture for some reason.

And a week later i got my Marvel Super Heroes arcade machine (which caught me off guard, because I was told this was supposed to show up at the end of November or early December. The Marvel cabinet contains Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men Children Of The Atom, and The Punisher. All 3 games a extremely fun, and take me back to the days I used to play them in the arcade, except the Punisher, which i have only ever played via emulator and actually never really seen in an arcade.

I hope to one day get the X-Men arcade game if/when it comes out... but only time can tell.

General Gaming / New Sony Patent for cartridge.
« on: November 15, 2019, 07:01:45 PM »
So one of the gaming sites I visit reported that Sony has patented a new cartridge design... yes you heard right a CARTRIDGE DESIGN! What is it for? No one really knows. Speculation it may be for the PS Vita 2, maybe proprietary PS5 software? Your guess is as good as mine.

Here's the article for your amusement!
